Looking for an answer to a question? Feel free to check out my frequently asked questions in case I've got an answer for you:
How long till my sweater quantity arrives?
Sweater quantities are dyed-to-order and have a 3-4 week processing time before being sent. This is due to the custom nature of the order, which is hand dyed by me, as well as accounting for the yarn base to arrive from the mills I work with if it has to be ordered in.
Why is there a 3 skein minimum?
Sweater quantities are dyed-to-order and can have a 3-4 week processing time to account for any large orders and time for the yarn base to arrive from the mill if I don't have it in stock. I require a 3 skein minimum to make ordering in the yarn worth the time ordering and dyeing up.
What happens if I don’t like my yarn?
Buying yarn online is tricky! I understand that sometimes what we see on our screens aren’t what we see in person. Please know that every reasonable effort is made to accurately display the yarn. As the yarn is hand-dyed, there is a mild variation in every skein though and different yarn bases will have different effects. Superwash wools tend to be more vibrant while hand wash wools have more of a softer, watercolour effect to them.
I’m happy to refund your wool on return, providing it is still in its skein form and not unwinded or caked and from a smoke free environment. If you would prefer to exchange it for another colourway, please let me know and I can arrange to have it dyed up.
Can I order samples?
Unfortunately at this point I don’t offer samples but I am working on creating sample cards for sweater quantities to be released later this year. You can also order a scrap bundle and fibre sample bundle, which include a random assortment of yarn weights, fibres and colourways, which is a great way to get a feel for my wools.
How much wool will I need for a sweater?
An average sized simple sweater requires roughly 7-8 skeins but it’s difficult to estimate how much you need for a project, just because it can differ so much between sizes, construction and embellishments such as bobbles or cables.
I always recommend checking Ravelry out to browse for patterns as you can see how much meterage is required for a project before buying yarn so you don't run out midway.
Do you do wholesale orders?
I do! I offer both wholesale and artist discounts for fibre artists. If interested, please get in contact via email or the wholesale page on my website for an information pack.
Do you do custom colours?
I don’t currently offer custom colours. Colourways often require a lot of time and experimentation to create perfectly, which can be tricky to do online and in a small batches for customers.
